Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU) at a time of rapid growth following our recent launch. HCAU is the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea and has commenced operations to deliver captive-finance solutions for our three OEM brands under the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). HMG is Korea's second-largest conglomerate, with a strong focus on automobiles, auto parts, finance and more. As the financial arm of HMG, Hyundai Capital Services supports global vehicle sales by providing a comprehensive range of automotive finance products and services.

We’re currently seeking a Product Manager to manage our portfolio of financial products with a focus on customer retention. Reporting to the Product Development Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic design, development and continuous improvement of retention systems, processes and lifecycle management. You will act as Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to provide training to HCAU’s sales team and our OEM partners. This role is essential in supporting HCAU’s sales initiatives and aspirations to be one of the biggest Automotive Finance companies in Australia.

What you’ll do:

Retention Systems & Process Management:

  • Develop and manage end-to-end retention processes, definitions, protocols and systems integrations.
  • Define business requirements and ensure cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Communicate concepts clearly using business tools (e.g., diagrams, stories, RACI charts).
  • Oversee design and operations of the Renewal Portal and related dealer processes.
  • Manage renewal algorithms and renewals criteria, report on performance and analytics.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, version control and systems compliance.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Risk to ensure process alignment and mitigate product/business risk.
  • Support backlog prioritisation throughout project development and product lifecycle.
  • Provide reporting to internal committees and stakeholders.

Renewal Portal Design:

  • Partner with OEMs, PMO, IT, Sales, and external stakeholders to support portal development.
  • Manage input into portal design for new product applications and renewals process parameters.
  • Provide regular report updates into progress, challenges capabilities and schedule.
  • Lifecycle & End-of-Term (EOT) Management.
  • Lead retention strategy and sales process integration across HMCA, KAU, GAU, and HCAU.
  • Drive a retention-focused culture across OEM and partner networks.
  • Manage lifecycle communications, OEM integration and EOT operations.
  • Support direct finance/vehicle sales, customer self-service and tailored OEM retention offers.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to sell over-aged or end-of-life stock and contribute to marketing efforts.

Training SME Support:

  • Act as SME for training teams in sales systems, development and efficiency.
  • Co-develop training materials for new products and provide operational support to Business Analytics.
  • Train OEM field sales staff in renewal sales management.
  • Lead and support the National Training Team in alignment with regional sales strategies.

**Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for training or events. Adequate notice will be provided and travel time is considered work time.

Your skills & experience:

  • 3-5 years OEM or automotive network experience including sales, remarketing, CRM and distribution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing or combination of comparable education and experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and interpret business requirements with strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, and highly time-sensitive commitment and to challenge existing practices when appropriate
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying opportunities for operational improvements through thorough analysis and implementing effective solutions
  • Strong understanding of automotive legal and compliance regulations within Australia.
