This is an exciting opportunity to join Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU) at a time of rapid growth following our recent launch. HCAU is the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea and has commenced operations to deliver captive-finance solutions for three OEM brands under the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). HMG is Korea's second-largest conglomerate, with a strong focus on automobiles, auto parts, finance and more. As the financial arm of HMG, Hyundai Capital Services supports global vehicle sales by providing a comprehensive range of automotive finance products and services.
Due to growth and as we scale our IT infrastructure, we’re currently hiring a System Analyst to support some of our core business systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Head of IT, the wider IT team, and our HQ development team based in Seoul to resolve system errors and improve system functionality. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, supporting users across multiple business units.
What you’ll do:
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into system-based solutions.
- Design and document system workflows, data flows, and functional specifications.
- Act as the key liaison between business users, HQ development teams, and vendors.
- Provide guidance on system capabilities, configuration, and solution options.
- Lead requirements gathering, validation, and documentation (functional and non-functional).
- Support system integration, including data mapping, interfaces, and data quality management.
- Identify and drive system improvements to enhance automation, efficiency, and user experience.
- Support testing activities, including unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor system performance and investigate root causes of system and data issues.
- Manage and maintain system documentation, including process maps and user materials.
- Coordinate with HQ and vendors to resolve defects and deliver system enhancements.
Your skills & experience:
- Ideally 5+ years related experience in business systems analysis and quality assurance.
- Ideally 3+ years of experience working within IT development project teams.
- Able to quickly understand and document business processes and identify process improvements.
- Enterprise-wide expertise in applications support and management including minor development, bug fixes etc...
- Proficiency with JAVA, Python & SQL working in a similar role.
- A background working within financial services is preferred.
- Experience working directly with vendors to customize and enhance third party systems.
- Familiarity with SLDC and ITIL Framework.
- Strong research, analytical, organization and time management skills.
- Experience working directly with vendors to customize and enhance purchased software preferred.
- Skilled at eliciting, analyzing, documenting and communicating functional and non-functional requirements for business systems.
- Strong communication skills, especially the ability to explain system and technical topics to others who may have minimal technical knowledge.
