Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU) at a time of rapid growth following our recent launch. HCAU is the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea and has commenced operations to deliver captive-finance solutions for three OEM brands under the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). HMG is Korea's second-largest conglomerate, with a strong focus on automobiles, auto parts, finance and more. As the financial arm of HMG, Hyundai Capital Services supports global vehicle sales by providing a comprehensive range of automotive finance products and services.

Due to growth and as we scale our IT infrastructure, we’re currently hiring an Application Analyst to support some of our core business systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Head of IT, the wider IT team, and our HQ development team based in Seoul to resolve system errors and improve system functionality. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, supporting users across multiple business units.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical support for internal and external applications and integrations.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for business users with respect to system functionality/features and for UAT.
  • Analyse, document and communicate functional and non-functional requirements for business systems.
  • Analyse business processes and functions to specify/apply system improvements.
  • Liaise with external vendors to make relevant system enhancements as required.
  • Support testing of system functionality in collaboration with HCAU’s HQ development team to ensure test plans and test cases accurately reflect business requirements.
  • Work with business users and developers to identify data mapping needs and data management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user training materials and process maps etc…

Your skills & experience:

  • Enterprise-wide expertise in applications support and management including minor development, bug fixes etc...
  • Proficiency with JAVA, Python & SQL working in a similar role.
  • A background working within financial services.
  • Experience working directly with vendors to customize and enhance third party systems.
  • Familiarity with SLDC and ITIL Framework.
