HCAU is the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea and has commenced operations to deliver captive-finance solutions for three OEM brands under the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). As the financial arm of HMG, Hyundai Capital Services supports global vehicle sales by providing a comprehensive range of automotive finance products and services.
We’re currently seeking an experienced Novated Lease Manager to lead the development, launch, governance and commercial growth of HCAU's newly created Novated Lease business line across Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands.
In this role you will establish HCAU's technical novated lease product capability, support market entry through the initial white-label partnership model. During the implementation phase, approximately 70–80% of the role will focus on product development, business requirements, operating model design, system implementation, testing, business readiness and cross-functional project leadership. Following successful implementation, the role will progressively evolve into the commercial owner of the Novated Lease business, responsible for product strategy, pricing, profitability, partnerships, business planning and future market expansion.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the end-to-end design, build and implementation of HCAU’s Novated Lease product and capability.
- Own product design, business requirements, operating model definition and end-to-end process development.
- Drive implementation readiness including UAT, testing, training, go-live and post-launch support.
- Act as the key SME across Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal and external partners.
- Transition into ownership of the Novated Lease business line post-launch.
- Develop and execute product strategy, pricing, commercial model and growth plans.
- Manage and grow relationships with novated lease providers, salary packaging partners and other key stakeholders.
- Lead commercial negotiations including partnerships, commissions, referral arrangements and service agreements.
- Monitor business performance, profitability, portfolio growth and market competitiveness.
- Provide insights, reporting and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Ensure strong governance, documentation, compliance and operational controls across the business.
Your skills & experience:
- Significant senior-level experience in novated leasing, salary packaging, automotive finance, fleet management, captive finance, asset finance, or related commercial product environments.
- Deep technical expertise in Australian novated leasing, including three-way novation structures, salary packaging mechanics, FBT/GST treatment, EV incentives, residual values, lease lifecycle events, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Proven experience across product development and lifecycle management.
- Ability to balance competing commercial and stakeholder priorities, including customer value, OEM objectives, dealer needs, partner economics, funding considerations, and risk appetite.
- Experience working across novated leasing and automotive finance ecosystems, including FMOs, banks, OEM captives, brokers, salary packaging providers, and dealer networks.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills with proven ability to operate cross-functionally and effectively in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Law, Accounting, Data Analytics or similar is highly regarded
