We’re currently hiring an experienced AML Compliance Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance team. In this role you will provide critical support and guidance on all AML Compliance related matters. This position reports directly to our Compliance Manager and you will collaborate with various other departments across the business.
What you’ll do:
- Investigate and assess transaction monitoring alerts and prepare reports.
- Conduct escalated reviews.
- Investigate and resolve issues including recommending corrective actions.
- Providing insightful and timely advice on the management of HCAU's obligations.
- Preparing periodic compliance reports, conducting oversight and monitoring of business activities.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to assist with updating risk assessment methodologies, controls and remediation plans for compliance deficiencies.
- Assist in developing guidelines and compliance training.
- Identifying, analysing, and communicating legislative and regulatory trends and developments as they relate to HCAU’s obligations.
Your skills & experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a compliance / financial crime role.
- Experience with NICE Actimize is preferred but not essential.
- Tertiary qualification or other relevant training.
- Advisory experience, focusing on AML compliance assessments.
- Ability to research, interpret and apply legislation and regulator guidance, preferably within the context of consumer lending.
- Partner with business units to ensure the successful remediation of compliance issues.
- Knowledge of Australian AML laws governing consumer lending.
- Strong time management, problem solving and project management skills.
- Demonstrated strength in organisational, planning and analytical abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
