This is an exciting opportunity to join Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU) at a time of rapid growth following our recent launch. HCAU is the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea and has commenced operations to deliver captive-finance solutions for our three OEM brands under the Hyundai Motor Group (HMG). HMG is Korea's second-largest conglomerate, with a strong focus on automobiles, auto parts, finance and more. As the financial arm of HMG, Hyundai Capital Services supports global vehicle sales by providing a comprehensive range of automotive finance products and services.
We’re currently hiring an FP&A Manager to drive initiatives and projects to empower the Finance team, and wider business, in making strategic decisions. Reporting to the FP&A Senior Manager, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and enhancing financial projections and models to set and monitor areas such as profitability, revenue/sales targets and expense budgets. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other areas of the Finance team, other Departments and HCAU Senior Leadership in establishing short, medium and long-term financial plans.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain financial models and support business planning with a focus on annual budgeting.
- Prepare performance reporting and variance analysis on a regular basis.
- Monitor and analyse monthly budget performance against forecasts.
- Perform profitability analysis to support ongoing product planning in conjunction with Sales.
- Perform analysis to measure lifetime profitability of historic and current asset originations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather information required for financial forecasts such as funding compositions, sales/risk assumptions, expense structure and related provisioning.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to provide insight into past, current and future expected performance to support decision making.
Your skills & experience:
- Ideally CA or CPA qualified with 3 to 5 years’ experience in Commercial Finance/FP&A, preferably with exposure to asset finance.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to engage, influence and challenge key stakeholders if required.
- Robust understanding of financial and management accounting with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to establish links between operational and financial data to understand key business drivers.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and quality.
- A proven track record in achieving results in accordance with reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and time management skills.
